What do successful organizations have in common? Dynamic leaders.

Casey Taylor, a Paradise native, is the product of both private and public schools. Growing up she was an “at-risk” youth and believes her community, her faith, and the individualized attention she received at her small elementary school empowered her to beat the "at-risk" odds.
Casey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies at Westmont College and her Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from CSU Chico. Personal life experiences convinced her that small community, high expectations and individualized learning was a highly effective schooling model. In 2005 she worked alongside a group of educators, community members and founding families seeking to provide this choice in education. Serving as ACS's Principal since its opening to 2017, Casey was an integral part of the vision, creation and design of Achieve Charter School. Achieve is unique, it is a direct reflection of Casey’s leadership. She has built a positive atmosphere of learning, rich in student ownership of education and parent/school partnership.
Casey has served as a teacher and administrator for nearly 20 years. She currently serves as California Charter Schools Association Member Council Representative for Region 2, advocating for Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties. She participates on the Paradise Rotary Club Board of Directors (and can often be seen flipping burgers at community fundraisers). She is a member of the Butte County Office of Education Foster Youth Steering Committee, a member of the Butte County Charter Leaders Network and a member of the Paradise Citizens Alliance. Casey and her husband live in Paradise with their two children.
Steve Wright has been a part of Achieve since its opening in 2005, previously serving as the second grade teacher. Over the last decade he has played a large role in driving school initiatives and creating a campus culture of striving to reach high expectations. He has a heart for kids and their families and loves to support others in any way he can.
Steve can often be found sharing his love for music with the students. Steve and his wife Aimee are happy to be raising their two daughters in the community they grew up in. In his free time he enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and playing guitar.
